John Hodgson has served as land use attorney, advocate, and project manager for numerous large property owner groups in the successful development of over 11,000 acres of mixed-use master-planned projects throughout the greater Northern California region. Those mixed-use master planned developments include the Woodland Research Park (Woodland, CA), Davis Innovation Center (Davis, CA), Panhandle PUD (Sacramento, CA), Laguna Ridge Specific Plan (Elk Grove, CA), Folsom South Area Plan (Folsom, CA), Sunridge Specific Plan (Rancho Cordova, CA) and the Elverta Specific Plan (Sacramento County).
He has worked on a diversity of land use projects that include individual local land use entitlements, mixed-use projects and projects national in scope. He is familiar with all aspects of the development and entitlement process including project feasibility, finance and infrastructure plans, project management and meeting the goals of the project proponents. More recently, he has spent considerable time working on infill projects in midtown and downtown Sacramento as well as other urban centers in the region.
