Folsom Planning Area
The Hodgson Company serves as the project manager and land use advocate for this development effort. A Specific Plan is being created for the Folsom Sphere of Influence (SOI) area which is in the process of being annexed to the City of Folsom. This SOI area encompasses 3,600 acres bounded by Highway 50, Prairie City Road, White Rock Road and the El Dorado County line.
The plan will be a mixed use community with retail, office and residential components. A major regional mall is planned for the area. In June 2007 the Folsom City Council unanimously selected a preferred land use plan for the Sphere of Influence (SOI) area south of Highway 50 and directed staff to prepare the environmental documents required for the annexation of the property.
For additional information including a current land plan map see the City of Folsom website: www.folsom.ca.us/about/whats_new/sphere.asp
